Thanks for your introduction, and I want to add something. While most people regard The Ramayana only as India’s great Hindu epic about Prince Rama’s journey to rescue his wife Sita, they often miss an important fact. The epic has spread widely across Southeast Asia for thousands of years. It has been rewritten and adapted into local versions in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries. These versions change some storylines and character images, mixing local customs and beliefs. Therefore, The Ramayana is not merely an Indian classic, but a shared cultural treasure across Asian nations with diverse local interpretations.
