THE IMPORTANCE OF TAXTATION

       Taxation exists in everyone's daily life. There are various tax items such as sales tax,value-added tax,income tax and so forth. Some people complain that it is unfair for them to pay so much painstakingly earned money in tax. In my opinion they have ignored the vital importance of taxation.
      
     Taxation takes a dominant role in the government income system. Some of the money is used to construct public facilities. So we can go out by bus, by train, or by air, enjoying the convenience of public transpotation; so we can receive good education in the classroom, and share abundant resources in the library; so people who are living in poor condition can be covered by the government welfare system; so we can relax ourselves after work by strolling in the park.

     Besides taxation can effectively shorten the great disparity in property between the rich and the poor. The progressive tax asks the relatively wealthy people to pay more tax than other people. What's more, it is more likely that rich men have to pay more various kinds of taxes, such as wealth tax, capital gains tax, capital transfer tax and so on. Consequently, the conflict between the rich and the poor will be tempered. If the great disparity exists in a society, uneasiness and chaos will be emerged. As a result, the poor live a miserable life; the rich can't do their business well, and their safety will be threatened too.

    Taxation is of vital importance. Everyone has the duty to pay taxes. Don't forget our obligations when we get benefits.
