Thank you for sharing this detailed overview of the Tomb of Seti I (KV17).
Your post provides a very clear introduction to this landmark New Kingdom royal tomb, from its location and discovery history to its overall layout and key decorative features. The structural diagram is especially helpful in visualizing the tomb’s complex corridors and chambers, and your notes on the funerary texts—including the Litany of Re, the Amduat, and the Book of Gates—offer a concise yet informative look at the religious function of the tomb.

As one of the longest, deepest, and most beautifully decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings, KV17 is indeed a key example of New Kingdom mortuary art and architecture. I particularly appreciate how you highlighted the astronomical ceiling and the iconographic details in the Four-Pillar Hall, which really help illustrate how the tomb was designed to support the pharaoh’s rebirth and journey in the afterlife. This is a well-organized and useful summary for anyone learning about Egyptian royal tombs.
