The exploration of lexical problems in Chinglish in this chapter was eye - catching. It highlighted how Chinese and English often have no one - to - one equivalents for certain words. For example, the misuse of "convenient" in Chinglish expressions such as "the transportation is very convenient here" (when "accessible" would be more appropriate in English) was an eye - opener. I learned that blindly using Chinese - English dictionary translations without considering the context and collocational habits of English can lead to odd - sounding expressions. This chapter taught me the importance of studying English vocabulary in context, understanding word collocations, and consulting native - speaker materials to ensure accurate usage.
