Nowadays there are more and more thieves in our society. Almost everyone is or will be stolen once or more in his/her life. Steeling is becoming a more and more serious crime. Although it doesn’t threat people’s life, it destructs greatly the social order. There is still no effective way to dead with thieves. And what we do now is just to be more caution. Is there any way to deal with the thieves? I think the answer is “yes”.
In my opinion, there are two main reasons of the increasing of the number. The first one, the thieves don’t get enough punishment. The government don’t regard thief as a serious crime. Even a thief is caught. He/her will be out after several days or months. The second one, people’s fear and conniver make thieves be more and more brave. When we see a thief stealing a person, I think few of us will stand out to stop the thief, because we are fearful that the thief will hurt us. He maybe has a knife or other lethal weapons in his body.
Now we know the reasons, so we know what things we can do for it. I think we should give the thief heavier punishment to let them fear to do it again. If they are fined ten thousand yuan or even more, they will have a good thought before stealing again. And they should get more penalties if they steal again. And I think we can give more rewards for the people who are against thieves. The reward can and should be more than the loss. If it works people will have no misgivings to stop and catch the thieves. “I abhor thief but I don’t dare to stop or catch them.” “I don’t fear death, but I fear no one looks after my parents and children after I died.” Maybe these are many people’s heart voices.
All of what I have said is for the government to de. The government should do more for us.
All of what we should do now is to be more cautious. We should know thief is only thief, they are still afraid of us. Don’t fear when you come across a thief and shout out. They will escape like a mouse.
