Gender Discrimination——Teenager Girls
Alicia, who saw the mouse, has no mother and has to serve both her father and brothers. She has to get up early every day to cook for the whole family. How poor a girl is!
Marin wasn't allowed to go out and can only stay home to look after children, yet she was still disliked. Every night, the most important thing is for her to stay in front of the house so that boys can see her, as this is how she can have a better future.
I still remember that description"Marin, under the streetlight, dancing by herself, is singing the same song somewhere. I know. Is waiting for a car to stop, a star to fall, someone to change her life."
At that time, the best way of having a good life for girls was that finding a good man and get married.
I feel extremely helpless and sad about this phenomenon.

Do you think this kind of gender - based limitation is still present in our society today, maybe in more subtle ways? For example, we often see beauty standards in the media that seem to suggest a girl's worth is tied to her appearance, which can be a form of pressure similar to Marin's situation. It's like we're still unconsciously pushing girls towards certain ideals that might not be of their own choosing. And how can we break these cycles?
