Even though a number of Irish writers have immigrated to Britain in certain stage of their life, many of them were born and brought up there. Among them there were Joannason swift, Yeats, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Bernard Shaw, etc. and many obscure Irish writers contributing to the English literature. It is impossible to estimate to their contribution to English language and the general western ideas.
