在“全球化”背景下，“现代化”日益成为席卷当今时代的历史潮流，每个国家、民族都不可避免地被卷入到现代化的进程中。中国作为一个正在崛起的大国，处于现代化进程之中。尤其面临着国内主体文化和世界外来文化的双重压力，这种压力对其自身的现代化既是机遇又是挑战，关键在于作出怎样的应对。回族文化作为中国的民族文化之一，也面临着同样的危机。教育作为个体的社会化或文化习得的过程，不仅对文化起着保存、传承、创造的作用，而且引导文化发展的方向。因此，教育是民族文化发展的动力。回族作为一个信仰伊斯兰教的民族，其文化和教育都具有浓厚的伊斯兰教色彩。伊斯兰教育不论在历史上还是现代教育中都占有相当重要的位置。笔者在坚持宗教理论研究模式的前提下，主要运用人类学、社会学、历史学等研究方法从西宁回族教育历史沿革；探索梳理了西宁回族教育历史变迁。具体论述西宁伊斯兰教育的发展状况，揭示了西宁伊斯兰教育对回族教育的历史作用和当代功能。In the background of globlization,modernization become the historical trend which engulfs the modern
world,each country and nation has been inevitably involved in the course of modernization.
As a big developing country,China is in the course of modernization now,especially china is meeting the dual
pressure from the domestic culture and foreign culture.The pressure is not only a chance but also a challenge
for our modernization,and the point is how to respond to it.The Hui people's culture,as one of our national
culture,also meets the crisis of that. As education is the socialazation of individuality and the process of social
acquisition,it can not only maintain and inherit it,but also direct its way,thus,education is the power of national
cucture.Hui people's culture and education have strong Islamic colour for they believe in Islam.Islamic education
plays a great role whatever in history or in the modern world.On the premise of insisting to research the religious
theory,the writer mainly uses anthropology,sociology and history to study the Hui people's education of XiNing
city,explores and sorts out the changes.The writer particularly analyses the state of Hui's educational
development and reveals the contribution that the Islamic education has made to the history and its
contemporary function.
