Don’t Forget to Put Your Heart on Your DreamAs the old Chinese saying goes “where there is a will, there is a way.” Just the same as what we say today, nothing can stop a willing heart. From this ,we can see that a strong will could influence us profoundly.
In fact, strong will is a kind of good quality which successful people should own. A great man is always one who has strong will and determination. Someone could become a great man not because their life was out of failure but because the attitudes they toward the failure. Facing the downs, they using their strong will to conquer the enemy. Took an example which I had read on the “Reader’s Digest”, the case of Phi Johnson. Phil Johnson’s father owned a laundry, so he gave him a job, hoping the boy would work into the business. But Phil hated the laundry, so he dawdled, loafed, did what he had to do and not a lick more. Some days he was “absent”. His father was so hurt to think he had a shiftless, ambitionless son that he was actually ashamed before his employees.
One day Phil Johnson told his father he wanted to be a mechanic work in a machine shop .what? go back to overalls? The old man was shocked. But Phil had his way .he worked in greasy dungarees. He did much harder work than was required at the laundry. He worked longer hours, and he whistled at his job! He took up engineering, learned about engines, puttered with machines----and when Phil Johnson died, in 1944, he was the president of the Boeing Aircraft Company, and was making the Flying Fortresses that helped to win the war! If he had stuck with the laundry, what would have happened to him?
Phil was successes because of his strong will and his hard working. He put his heart on his dream. On the way to success, he didn’t care about the difficulties and believed himself, finally, he success.
Took another example, Forrest Gump who was born with a low IQ but has achieved a great success. During his life, he believed what his mother told him: “stupid is as stupid does.” No matter what happened on him, he never stopped running.. People always say that Forest Gump symbolize the American value “the individual struggle”. Life was full of ups and downs but if you put you heart on it and never give up, there will be a way for you.
How many roads must a man walk down? Before you call him a man .
How many times must a man look up? Before he can see the sky.
How many years can a mountain exist? Before it washed to the sea.
The answer is not in the wind, the answer is ours.
