alienation

We are in a world replete with fluctuation and alternation. Worshiped values are being threatened and superseded by some modernized ideas. People are wearing different masks. Thus, the alienation between family members, as an “illustration” in the field of social sectors, appears to be an inevitable outcome, which merits a comprehensive consideration on the basis of both internal and external factors.
To begin with, human beings are becoming increasingly dissatisfied. The overwhelming desire has applied undue pressure to the modern people and it can’t be denied that many of the desires, essentially, are unrealistic illusions rather than reasonable expectations. With enormous gap between the imagination and reality, people usually retort to autism, which results in the lack of understanding between family members. As talks in family lessen gradually, members begin to feel alienated against their relatives. This sequent combination of desire, pressure and lack of communication, all interacting continuously, does accounts for the internal factor of the alienation.
Next, the impact of the prevalent orientation cannot be ignored. In the money-oriented and material-oriented, family is no longer the core value upon which any society depends to thrive. Dispute and misunderstanding are found hard to erase and reconcile. For example, in some big families, members cannot collaborate to establish common goals, or reach a consensus, especially when money is involved. Diverse interests, even though they are legitimate claims, alienate the family members and destroy the fundament of the family. As a result, the external factor---social orientation, serves as a catalyst for alienation.
This alarming phenomenon, emerging in every nation and community, merits our immediate attention. According to William Butler Yeats, Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. As to both the factors, the best way is education---inculcate a sense of satisfactory towards desire and loyalty towards family. Moreover, it is necessary to convince the mass people, in the changing society, family is the innate tie that should be valued. In addition, the money, will never take precedence over family irrespective of whether the interest might be desirable.
In sum, it is beyond argument that alienation potentially leads to the collapse of an entire family and the one possible remedy is education. We cannot afford to hesitate or overlook, for our society’s destiny is hinged on various colorful families.
