As we were young, we were taught that time is money. We always try our best to do so and we do benefit from this.
Actually, time and money are quite similar in some aspects. For example, we value them both. We should not waste time and money on anything useless. While wasting time, we, of course, is wasting money. For instance, if one is addicted in games, while another one is studying hard, as time goes by, the two will be quite different. People studying hard will be more intelligent and rational without doubt. And these advantages will also affect his future development to a large extent. In real life, there are hundreds of students attend classes once again after failing the college entrance examination because of playing games. One’s youth is his best time to learn. Once he misses this period of time, he has to pay more effort and time to make up for what he wastes. As he wastes time, he loses his chance of making money in future at the same time. So time certainly is money.
But it doesn’t mean that the quicker we are, the better we effectively use time. We should arrange our time in the most effective way and that will help us get more. In other words, managing time is some kind of time saving. Arranging time is just like investment. A good investor knows clear how important to spend his money reasonable, and that will help him use the minimum to gain the most. So it’s important for everyone to learn to arrange time rationally.
What’s more, time is more precious than money. Time goes and never comes back. One has to do all he can to catch it. Or you can say that time is flowing treasure that once it slips away, it is gone forever.
There are also many famous phrases compare time to money. For instance, yesterday is a canceled check, tomorrow is a promissory note and today is the sole owner of your cash. Wherever it is, time always is the most important thing that everyone should value. So don’t live in the past, or don’t always look forward to the future. Just live in the present. There is no way for anyone to regret wasting time. Don’t look at your money flowing away anymore. Time is not just money. Cherishing time is cherishing your life as well.
