After roaring through Indonesia and the Philipines, the nineteenth tropical typhoon Nalgae pounds Hainan province, China and keeps move torwards north on October 14 morning. And it may cause severe damage to those province in the south, said the National Environmental Forecasting Center.
Before its landing, the National Forecasting Center has warned that tourists and residents in those typhoon-hit regions should be alert for the landing of Typhoon Nalgae. Government of Hainan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces have taken emergency actions to face its arrival including organizing disaster prevention work, for the strong wind and heavy rain may cause severe damage or flood. Untill now over 137 thousand people living in low-lying areas in Hainan province have been evacuated. Residents are urged by gorvernment to ensure having several days food supplies. The Forecasting Center asked all the tourists heading to typhoon-hit provinces to remain flexible with their itineraries.Because of potential risk of torrential rains, strong winds and even flooding, the airline and sea transportation may have been affected or canceled which may result in travelers stranded.
